Yisrael Kohen

Associate Pastor

Pastor Yisrael Kohen serves as Associate Pastor and has been an integral part of TWC since its inception. He oversees several of the congregation’s hands-on outreach ministries, including Jail and Prison Ministry, Nursing Home Ministry, and outreach to those experiencing homelessness. Where the need is greatest and the doors are hardest to open, Pastor Yisrael is usually already there.
He is especially known for his faithful work inside prison walls, bringing the hope of the gospel to inmates who are often forgotten or written off. His ministry is marked by consistency, compassion, and courage—meeting people at their lowest points and reminding them that redemption is still possible.
A loving man with a true shepherd’s heart, Pastor Yisrael combines deep pastoral care with a wealth of scholarly knowledge. He has a rare ability to teach with clarity while leading with empathy, guiding people not just toward better understanding, but toward transformed lives. His calling is rooted in reaching the community, engaging the broken, and serving as a steady leader for those who feel far from God.
Outside of ministry, Pastor Yisrael enjoys riding motorcycles and restoring antique cars—hands-on pursuits that reflect his love for craftsmanship, patience, and bringing neglected things back to life. In many ways, it mirrors his ministry: seeing value where others don’t, and investing the time it takes to restore what seems beyond repair.
