haga (muttering)
I have been spending many hours lately meditating on the ideas of satisfaction and a quiet soul during the season when our culture seems to be at its most self-servingly obnoxious.
The word “meditate” in this passage is the Hebrew word “haga”, which literally means to mutter under your breath. This verse, along with Proverbs 4:23, will go a very long way to keep a person well grounded.
Whisper the Word of Life and walk strong, my kin.

Philippians 4:6-8 is a sure cure to help us all to stay in the present with a thankful heart. No muttering, only gratitude and a joyful heart to the One whose love and mercy passes all understanding as He fills us with His Shalom.
